Last Chance to Register! Counseling Skills for the Nutrition Professional - Presented by Beth McKinney, MSEd, RD, CHES, on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, from 2–3 PM EST - Earn 1 CPEU
This webinar provides RDNs with techniques for refining their counseling skills—a critical component in promoting positive client behavior change. While most RDNs received some coursework and training early in their careers, many of us rely on common sense to guide our counseling sessions. Client-directed counseling training offers specific techniques that can be practiced and utilized immediately.

After completing this session, practitioners will be more effective and confident, their ability to serve their clients will be much improved, and their clients will feel more empowered and committed to making healthy changes.

Learning Objectives
After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be able to:
  1. Immediately utilize three techniques for eliciting information
  2. Identify when they are leading the conversation and develop ways they can step back
  3. Appreciate the value of having the client talk
